Unna and Madison in Almodóvar’s New Film
We are delighted to share that we have participated in a very special project: our furniture for care homes and nursing homes has been featured as part of the set design for Pedro Almodóvar’s latest film, The Room Next Door.
Our Unna armchair, Madison armchair, and Eric coffee table were selected by the production company El Deseo to furnish a hospital room used as a setting in a scene of the latest film by the renowned Spanish filmmaker.
The UNNA armchair, designed by Yonoh, is a reinterpretation of furniture for care homes and nursing homes, combining an attractive design with functionality and ease of use. These features are paired with the robustness of its solid wood structure, ensuring durability and reliability. In The Room Next Door, UNNA enhances the atmosphere, bringing a welcoming touch to the space.
The collection includes low-back and high-back armchairs, wingback chairs, and sofas, all made from solid beech wood with rounded edges to ensure the safety and physical well-being of users and caregivers.

MADISON is another collection of furniture for care home and nursing homes that emphasizes comfort and convenience. These two aspects are enhanced by upholstery designed to provide sensory warmth while meeting all essential hygiene and health standards for elderly individuals, dependents, and those with mobility issues.
The MADISON collection offers a wide range of solutions, including chairs, armchairs, and sofas, as well as accessories and add-ons for greater personalization and adaptation to users’ specific needs. The armchairs are available with medium or high backs, in fixed or mobile versions. The most advanced version, MADISON Transit, is equipped with wheels and features an independently adjustable backrest and leg rest, providing optimal comfort for the user.
The Room Next Door, starring Tilda Swinton and Julianne Moore, won the Golden Lion for Best Film at the latest Venice Film Festival. The film tells the story of two friends who reconnect after many years apart due to the twists and turns of life.
