We would like to thank everyone who visited us from 22nd to 25th of October, at Orgatec in Colonia (Germany), and had the opportunity to discover our innovative collections of armchairs for care and nursing homes: Cala by Alegre Design and Wave by Odosdesign.
Both collections have been specifically designed for these healthcare facilities. They not only meet the technical requirements necessary to provide comfort and functionality for the elderly, but they are also true design pieces that help create aesthetic and welcoming spaces.
A collection of armchairs and a collection of chairs are the novelties that we have presented in our first participation in Orgatec.
Our booth, designed by the renowned studio Romero & Vallejo, successfully recreated a warm atmosphere inspired by traditional German homes. Their concept moves away from the sterile aesthetic typical of care facilities, offering inviting and attractive spaces that are essential to the well-being of residents. This approach reflects the studio’s experience in designing community-focused projects that have redefined the concept of senior living. “We wanted to recreate the essence of a living room, where the design of the space enhances the furniture, and where design and comfort share equal importance,” explains Mariano Vallejo, the designer responsible for the booth.
A structure simulating three traditional rooftops served as the ceiling of a pink-themed booth that successfully conveyed the warmth of a home, combined with the functionality and comfort required by users and residents of senior care facilities and individuals with reduced mobility. This design aligns closely with the Senior Living concept, embracing a more domestic and homely aesthetic, connected to the architecture and interior design of such projects.
The booth concept reflects our vision of how furniture for seniors should be. At Seniorcare, we are convinced that older adults deserve to enjoy both quality and design in their furnishings. Our goal is to ensure they live in the best possible conditions, and our armchairs for care and nursing homes, Cala and Wave, will contribute toward this aim.
With our unwavering commitment to the well-being and safety of older adults, and our partnerships with renowned designers, we aim to contribute to the comfort of both seniors and the caregivers who look after them in nursing homes and care facilities.
